Prayer Groups

The objective of this group is to ascertain the inculcation of firm faith, love of the church and brotherhood and bring about the spiritual, material and educational upliftment of the people.

St Mary's Orthodox Church has 8 Prayer groups which are divided area wise so that we have as many families come together for praise and worship.
Prayer Meeting Schedule
The prayer groups take turns in hosting a prayer meeting every Sunday. The prayer meeting is held at one of the residences of the members of the respective prayer group with the church members of that area and our vicar coming together to pray. The prayer meeting usually starts at 6:30 pm with a session of songs, bible reading and evening prayers followed by a message by our priest. The meeting ends with closing prayers and a simple meal provided by the hosting family.​
